This is a great example of the power of Zbrush and 3D printing.  The head was 3D modelled and then inversed to make the mould.  The files of the mould and inner core were printed, cleaned up and the first silicone cast was poured.  This whole process took two days from whoa to go. The challenge now is to get the core and hardness of the silicone perfect to mimic a baby’s head.

The silicone needs to squash and displace like a soft newborn skull.  This process is a bit trickier requiring trial and error.  Studio Kite has also built a very realistic mother and birthing canal.  Perhaps a bit to graphic for display outside of the teaching environment
